Non penso di conoscerne l’esito prima di Dicembre prossimo. Ho tuttavia ricevuto alcune chiamate da parte di editori che, pare, avrebbero fatto un giro sul mio blog trovando interessanti i suoi concetti basici. Sorpresi? Beh, se lo siete, sappiate che alcune Case Editrici sono solite girare per blog o siti di scrittori emergenti. E’ quel che è successo anche a me. Per la cronaca ho rifiutato di inviare in visione il testo, per il semplice motivo che ho già inviato a chi di dovere e attendo il suo giudizio prima di pensare a eventuali ALTRE Case Editrici. E’ una questione di rispetto professionale in quanto non dobbiamo dimenticare che tra tanti editori furbetti ne esistono altrettanti seri e competenti. Ora, voi immaginate cosa vuol dire leggere (per chi lo fa VERAMENTE) un malloppo da 3/400 pagine e poi neanche essere avvertito che l’autore ha pubblicato con un altro! Io questo discorso NON lo faccio e quindi aspetterò buono buono i risultati.
Antologia di racconti inediti “Gabbiani delle stelle”: Ho calcolato che in questo caso i tempi di attesa per conoscerne l’esito si aggira tra fine ottobre e dicembre.
Romanzo breve “Ultima Thule”: Ebbene è vero: ho proposto anche questo a una Casa Editrice disposta a pubblicarlo se dovesse piacerle in quanto tutti i diritti sono di nuovo miei al 100%. Anche in questo caso la risposta è attesa per dicembre.
Parliamo adesso di un aspetto dello strano mondo letterario italico che però stavolta non tocca gli editori ma gli scrittori emergenti. (se, se, emergente lo sono anch’io ovviamente!) Come saprete, in Itaglia i nuovi libri dati alle stampe ogni giorno sono circa 180 e di questi circa la metà sono novità (ovvero non sono ristampe). Di queste novità, moltissime sono di autori esordienti (al loro primo libro) o emergenti (chiunque abbia pubblicato almeno un secondo libro). Bene! Scrivere davvero, anzi, TENTARE DI SCRIVERE, si fa dopo aver letto centinaia di libri. Troppo volte gli aspiranti scrittori se ne escono con frasi del tipo: “Non leggo mai cose di emergenti perché tanto la qualità è scadente!” Oppure: “ Ho scritto questo libro. Un giorno vorrei pubblicare come Moccia!” Oppure ancora: “ Scrivo per soddisfare la mia anima e la voglia di parlare the reader.
